Labor day weekend was spent at our families lake house. We played on all the water toys, played lots of games, and lots of corn hole. We did a lot of eating and drinking which is always fun. We even got to go walk on the beach. It was Mom’s birthday so we celebrated her too! Overall it was such a fun weekend with lots of activities. My best friend Jade came down for the fun all the way from Seattle. Our visit was the last time I will see her before leaving for the race. That goodbye was hard with a handful of tears. She means a lot to me and is a big support to me which made saying bye harder. I know she is just the beginning of the many goodbyes. I trust God and know that this is apart of the process and apart of my growth this next year. Anyway, I have 30 days until I leave for a year! How crazy.
