Okay, jokes on you I didn’t actually drown… or I wouldn’t be writing this blog post. (;

However, I did drown in Jesus’ reckless love. There were so many things I learned and grew in over the past 10 days at training camp and I would like to share them with you:

  1. We all have a story to share.

  1. There is power in vulnerability.

  1. God can’t fill an already full cup.

  1. We aren’t perfect, we are in process.

  1. It’s better to obey than to accomplish.

  1. We can’t forget the heart behind the rules.

  1. The more we spend time with God, the more He will work through us.

  1. What we believe and how we see ourselves shapes how we treat others.

  1. Emotions are a gift from God and they can guide us, but we can’t let them control us.

  1. The Devil is always feeding us lies. In order to recognize those lies and ignore them, we must know the Truth that ultimately comes from God.

On top of all these awesome things I learned, there were also some keywords and themes that stuck out with me throughout training camp:

  • Love

  • Peace

  • Trust

  • Belonging

  • Obedience

Overall, Training camp was amazing and God is really moving my heart and preparing me for this upcoming year. I am so excited and hopeful for what’s to come.  On that note, I only have 6 weeks left before I launch on this crazy adventure. Can you believe that?!

Thank you for following my journey and your constant love and support.

P.S. I didn’t just grow in God’s love, but I also had some interesting firsts:

            – I tried crickets

            – I broke a hammock and literally fell out of it.

            – I got caught in a Georgia downpour rain storm.

            – I took 10 cold bucket showers

            – I used over 15 different porta-potties.
