They say “last one best one”, well let me tell you that, that has been holding true this last month of the World Race.

When I first signed up for the World Race, I thought we would be living outside in our tents, taking bucket showers and pooping in a hole in the ground. Well this month we have accomplished 2 out of the 3.  I also thought we would be doing a lot of preaching and evangelizing on the World Race, but I haven’t really done much of that this year, that is until this month. I have preached twice since being here in Uganda, and it hasn’t even been a week of ministry yet.

This month a big part of our ministry is crusading. Now, before the Race I didn’t know much about crusading except for campus crusades that have a bad rap in the USA. Here, our crusades look like setting up a small area in town with speakers and lights, and preaching the word of God to the people in the market. It is mostly focused on encouragement and not condemnation.  We also do a lot of singing and dancing during this time.  And let me tell you, Ugandans know how to dance! I leave these events dripping in sweat from dancing so hard. It is so fun and joyful!

So the second evening of Crusading, I got to experience multiple miracles. After pastor Charles gave his word for the evening, he asked if anyone wanted to receive Christ as their personal savor. Multiple people came forward, confessed their sins, and received Christ. It was so amazing. Then afterwards, Charles asked if anyone needed to receive healing. Again, many people stepped forward, and we started placing our hands on them to pray for them. At one point I looked over at this young girl and saw that she was crying. I walked over to her and started praying for her. All of a sudden, she started swaying fiercely, moving wildly, and jumped out in front of the crowd. I soon came to find out that this woman that I was praying for was possessed with a demon. The church leaders had to hold her down and casted the demon out of her. It was amazing. A little while later she was perfectly fine. This happened again with a different woman, that same night. It was so powerful and amazing to witness. I had never seen anything like it before!

The following night I asked God and told him I wanted to see some one completely healed from something and I want them to testify about it. Well, God decided to use me to answer my own prayer. After the preacher was finished with his word, he called people up to the front to receive low back healing. He asked Summer my teammate and I up, to pray over them to receive healing. About 5-10 minutes later, the preacher asked these two women if they were experiencing any paint. They moved around,  stretched, and was shocked to feel that their pain was completely gone. WOW! It was so amazing. We were all shouting, dancing, and praising the Lord! God’s power is so real people!

This month God is doing amazing things and is using my team and I in big ways. I am so thankful to end the World Race getting to boldly proclaim my faith and share encouraging messages to the people of Uganda.

Praise God!
