I’m snuggled up on my couch with my 6 year old niece Ellie watching Mulan after enjoying some awesome froyo. Auntie and niece sleepover! My heart begins to sink just a tad as I realize I won’t see her or any of my littles, friends, or other family for 11 months once I leave for the World Race through Adventures in Missions, October 2017.
As I sit here beginning to type out my first blog post…slowly it’s sinking in. Slowly the fact that in 9 months I will be embarking on the craziest, most radical, and unknown journey of my life so far. I will be leaving behind my family, friends, my furbaby Lord Nicholas(yes that’s my cat’s name)and a relatively normal life…as I then walk into a year of uncertainty, a year of giving, serving, and most likely some seriously uncomfortable situations.
I am sure as the months progress I will be working through a mixture of feelings–right now it’s mostly excitement and a tad bit of anxiety haha. God is so good, though, let me tell you. He reassures me constantly through others encouragement and support-He is going to take care of the details, as long as I stay willing and available to Him and His molding through this process.

If you had asked me even just two years ago if I ever would have considered this…I would have told you, not a chance. Just goes to show that God can certainly change a heart, a path, and a life all for His good and glory.
Please pray for me and my squad as we prepare to take ourselves way out of comfort zones to share the love and light of Jesus with 11 different countries! I invite you to follow my journey as I prepare to leave in the coming months and of course once I am out on the field! Subscribe to my blog to stay up to date! I will be posting a few more times heading up to the initial departure in October! Once out on the field I hope to be posting weekly as time permits.
xoxo Becca
“It’ll stop you right in your tracks
Take your breath and change your path
To a road you thought you’d never go down
Through highs and lows and endless nights
Through fire and darkness into the light
Bring you to your knees; Take your feet right off the ground
Once it takes hold, it won’t let you go–Love will take you places.” –Danny Gokey
