The other day my team had our daily meeting at park benches near our home.  As we were chatting and laughing, I saw a man out of the corner of my eye who looked like he wanted to approach us.  In Albania we stand out as Americans, so it is normal for random people to stop us to chat.  I figured he probably just wanted to talk with Americans until he came over and said that he didn’t want anything or to interrupt us and wasn’t trying to sell anything.  He said that he noticed how much love and laughter we had together and wanted to “salute” us for it.  Then he walked away.

This isn’t the first time I’ve been in a group of Racers and have been stopped by a stranger who comments on our love. Every time it happens I’m reminded of John 13:35.

In a world of people stuck in disappointments, obligations, and sadness, laughter and love are pleasant surprises.  Spread it!
