This month I borrowed a book from our contacts called The Hiding Place. It is about the life of a woman named Corrie ten Boom who did amazing things and saved Jewish people during the Nazi’s occupation of Holland. Her operation was eventually discovered and she was sent to a concentration camp for political prisoners. I loved this book because I enjoy learning about World War II and I loved reading about a woman whose faith in God was pivotal in her changing history. I highly recommend that you read this book. Here are some of my favorite quotes from the book:
“Happiness isn’t something that depends on our surroundings, Corrie. It’s something we make inside ourselves.”
“There are no ‘if’s’ in God’s world. And no places that are safer than other places. The center of His will is our only safety.”
