A few short months ago, I first introduced to you this idea of the "World Race". Now, just days away from departure, I wanted to update you on our ministry plans and my support status.

To refresh your memory, on July 10th I will be packing lightly and joining a team of passionate believers on a journey through 11 countries in 11 months. Our squad will be making its way through the following *countries:
Our first stop is Romania, where over 50% of teenagers struggle with reading because they can’t afford to stay enrolled in school. We will engage these children by teaching English, and running sports camps in their communities.
Next up is Ukraine. WIth 100,000+ cases of domestic violence reported a year, we hope to comfort the abused and find safety for them as they move forward.
Then on to India, Nepal, Thailand, and Cambodia, four especially heartbreaking months where we will be working to encourage women and children who are victims of sex and slave trafficking.
Next we will join Rwanda and Uganda in their fight against HIV/AIDS. Today, 85,000 people in Rwanda need antiretroviral drugs (ARVs), and our team will help bring healing to these sufferers.
After this my team will work hard for Kenya and Vietnam by constructing new church buildings, and digging wells for clean drinking water.
Finally, there are 1.8 million orphans in the Philippines, and it will be a joy to spend the last month of our trip with the children there who are starving for love and attention.
*locations and ministry projects are subject to change based on safety and need.

To learn more about some of these countries and their current struggles, catch up on my previous blogs where I share more specifically the need in each country, and ways that we are working to bring hope to tha nations!

Now that you've read up a little bit, you realize this is some pretty heavy stuff, right? Here are ways that you can become a part of the answer:
FOLLOW
I will be updating my blog at least once a week (providing agreeable technology) to share where we are, what we are doing, and what it is like in the moment. You’ll be right there with me through the highs & lows of our aid to each location.
Go to "Subscribe for Blog Updates" on the side bar and enter your email address to stay current with everything going on.
PRAY
Your thoughts and prayers for the safety of our crew, the success of the projects we take on, and the over-all well being of the people we encounter will be a huge way to contribute.
Go to "Talk to Me" on the side bar and shoot me a quick email stating you'd like to join my prayer team [to receive specific prayer requests from me via email].
DONATE
$15,500 of financial support is needed to support my basic living needs throughout my year on the field. Here’s the good news: I am only $2,000 shy of this goal!
Help me close in on this through a one time or monthly donation in the following ways:
-
Online: Go to “Support Me” button located in the upper left hand side of the page. The site will walk you through the donation process.
- By Mail: Mail in the support card (located here) with your personal check to Adventures in Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA 30353-4470. A receipt for your donation will be sent to the address indicated on the support card.
I am humbled by the opportunity to put our vision of a better life overseas into motion. Thank you for your consideration of joining me in making this vision reality.
Join the journey!
