Training Camp is T-Minus 15 hours and I am just now getting to packing… Better late than never. I thought I’d give y’all a little insight as to how this endeavor went since it was a bit more challenging that anticipated.
This was the early stage of packing. I wrote out a list of every single item I thought I would need and gathered the items one by one. However, the pile in the middle of my room quickly became a mini mountain of packrat-ness. I soon realized I was going to have to cut some things out. But what to remove? Every item seemed so essential. Like, of course I need to bring 3 flashlights and 4 sets of extra batteries. What if one goes out? Heaven forbid I have to rely on my night vision. okay, okay. I guess I was being a little too prepared and could afford to lose some items.
But WHICH ITEMS?? This was my reaction when realizing I couldn’t bring everything I wanted too.
So, I finally narrowed it down and took some things out and this was still the only amount of room I had left in my pack. This is not including ANY clothes or hygiene products or electronics. Either I have too much gear or have no clue how to correctly pack it. (It’s probably a mixture of both).
After quite a bit of frustration and a couple doubting moments, I resorted to the almighty Youtube for some packing guidance.
And…
I GOT IT! Success! It only took basically half of my life but it is done and now I’m ready for training camp!

I’m SO PUMPED for training camp! Beyond excited to meet my lovely teammates whom I will be living with for the next year of my life. The people that I will connect and grow with, laugh with, worship with, and probably even butt-heads with from time to time. These people that I’m going to meet tomorrow are going to be my family. We are going to challenge and encourage each other in ways none of us most likely have before. We are going to be soldiers for Christ fighting side by side for one mission: to bring Heaven on Earth. To be the light God called us to be and to love the unloved.
