I thought I would share a little of what life is like in the race for those of you who might think it is a vacation…
While we were in China we travelled every 4-6 days to a new city. Some of the hostels and hotels we stayed at did not have showers, in fact most of them didn’t. Throughout our travels I (minus when we got to Beijing) I took a shower 4 times… That is approximately a shower every 5-ish days.
To top things off, when we took showers it was with freezing cold water (again this was until we reached Beijing)! Every time we took a shower, it felt SO GREAT!
Those of you who are at home know that I love to take showers everyday, with nice hot water. Ahhh, the life of a Racer, I wouldn’t change it. 🙂
Oh, oh, not to mention our bathrooms were typically a community squatty potty for the hotel/hostel we were staying at.
Life in China= Awesome.
