For once I am writing a blog during the day! (There is a first time for everything.) Okay, so now this blog might sound a little cheesy to all of you. Haha But, as most of you know I am a big, big, BIG classic rock fan and last night I was praying and just thinking of people in general and well, I feel like most people can relate to this Foreigner song. So, obviously "I Want to Know What Love Is" by Foreigner is today's blog's soundtrack! 🙂
So, most people want to know what love is, and the sad thing is that God has loved us the most but a lot of people miss this. The bible says that "God is love" 1 John 4:8… and He has demonstrated the greatest love for us, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8…
Jesus was that sacrifice for us; He shed that blood for us, "And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission." Hebrews 9:22 Isn't that awesome? God loves YOU and me sooooo much!
And accepting that love of His is a free gift, something that can't be earned or deserved… And it's not what we do that saves us, but what HE ALREADY DID! "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9.
So, I really felt the need to write this! I love you guys, and so does HE. 🙂
