As usual, I have a little soundtrack for today’s blog. Please listen as you read, I think it will all make sense. I recently had a nice chit-chat with one of my brother Josue and thought I would share some of what we talked about.
God has a plan for me, as He has a plan for all of us! Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
He created me do His will, and He has given me a heart to want to serve people. I want to be used by God and help people around the world and show them LOVE! “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8 I thoroughly believe that the World Race is a demonstration of His will and His love!
Even God himself has the heart of service! “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45 This is awesome because I know I am not alone to want to help people, God has the biggest demonstration of this, and loving people and serving them is a demonstration of God’s heart!
And as He calls there is always a choice. In Luke 9:59-60 it says “Then He said to another, “Follow Me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.” Now this didn’t mean that the man’s dad was dying, but simply that he wanted to get the things in his life done first before serving God.
I do not want to be like that! I want to be the one that goes and serves Him, with willingness and a open heart. One that wants to serve, that says “I am here, choose me!”
I love my family, I love my friends, but ultimately I love God more! And I know He loves me unconditionally So to leave my blog short and sweet I leave with this, “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 10:37-39
I hope this all makes sense to all of you and that I was not blabbering away. 🙂 Also, please pray for my support raising process, there is a lot left to go! 🙂
