This first month in the Philippines could be described as many things but best described as a whirlwind. A whirlwind of emotions, children, squadmates and ministries. In the two short weeks I have been here I have participated in: school tutoring, playing with children at the local children's home, teaching English to teachers in Chinatown, VBS, construction in two areas, feeding children in flooded areas and a girls Bible study. It seems to me that each one of these ministries have one thing in common, my new name, Tita. As one child after another holds my hand and steals my heart, I become more and more fond of this term of endearment meaning "Aunt". I am sure that in the months to come, I will miss walking down the road and hearing, "Tita Bailie!!!" Which normally sounds more like Billy.
