Click the link above to hear the story about the shack brothers!!
In this video, I share a story about two brothers we met in a shack. This story is a real-life example of forgiveness leading to reconciliation for a man and his family. This experience took place in Nicaragua but is very relatable to life events in America.
I want to leave y’all with some encouragement:
– You are never too far. You can never do too much wrong to be separated from God’s love, and there is no such thing as too lost. As I mentioned in the video, the parable of the lost sheep in Matthew 18:10-14 v.13 Jesus says “and if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray.” He pursues us till we’re found! He sees the one that is lost and rejoices when that one lost sheep is found.
– With forgiveness comes reconciliation which is a reflection of the cross. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so that we could have the opportunity to connect in a personal relationship with God. Jesus sacrifice is the ultimate example of forgiveness (John 3:16).
Romans 2:4 “Do the riches of his extraordinary kindness make you take him for granted and despise him? Haven’t you experienced how kind and understanding he has been to you? Don’t mistake his tolerance for acceptance. Do you realize that all the wealth of his extravagant kindness is meant to melt your heart and lead you into repentance?”
