Hi everybody!

I hope this post finds you well. To start off, I am super excited for this upcoming year for several reasons; many big things are ahead, I’ll be entering my final year of college at FGCU, and my third-year cheering there. Within the year I will be graduating from the health and science program with a bachelor’s degree in social work, AND… starting an amazing journey on the World Race!!

What is the World Race? Let me share! The World Race is a program of Adventures in Missions, it is a journey to 11 countries in 11 months to “serve the least of these” During this, I will get to learn and live amongst the countries individuals and get the chance to experience the real sense of each country’s community. This June 2019, I hope to be traveling to Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Morocco, Ethiopia, Djibouti, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, and Indonesia to spread God’s love through the gospel by serving. A team of us in each country will be partnering with established churches, and ministries in local communities by helping in various way such as: working in orphanages, feeding the hungry, teaching English in schools, church plants, ministering to women and children who have been affected by human trafficking, and many other amazing mission opportunities. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to travel with a specific purpose to proclaim the gospel with the desire to see others grow in Christ by making disciples among the nation.

Romans 1:5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations”

What brought me here? Jesus! How? By pursuing His plan for my life and not my own. Is this easy? No. Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!

This journey is something I never intended for my life, but God had other plans. Just like another squad member put it “It’s as if the World Race found me” as silly as that sounds, I relate. The first time I heard about the World Race was very briefly through a girl in my small group, take note this was my first small group in college, I was a sophomore, and recently reestablishing my personal relationship with the Lord. Praise God! Three years later, is when I really started to hear about and follow the WR journey through a mutual friend. As I followed his journey, I started exploring the core mission, values, and beliefs the WR upholds. I thought for a while, “Wow! The WR would be an experience of a lifetime, BUT there’s no way I could go, because of my future plan to obtain my masters, my finances, and my family’s thoughts towards being out of the country for 11 months.” Then in December 2017, my thoughts of, “there is no way” turned to, “I want to go, I want to love, I want to serve, I want to experience a year of sharing the gospel!” These wants were quickly reassured with a sense of peace and a sudden awareness of “you will go.” There was a total change in my heart and in my desire for missions!

For the past four years, the World Race has unnoticeably been a reoccurring opportunity, it’s bizarre to even see how the Lord had placed it in my life without me even recognizing it. I am so gracious and humbled that God saw fit for an ordinary person like me to become a racer for His kingdom.

HOWEVER, I cannot do this on my own!! Though I am certain this is where God has guided me. I would greatly appreciate your support. I ask that you partner alongside me, by prayerfully considering giving to my mission financially. If you chose to donate you can make a tax-deductible donation that will credit directly to my fundraising account. Most importantly, I ask for prayer over these next two years! The first year, with trusting in His provision fundraising, for my family’s heart as I prep to go across the world. Secondly, for my squad and I as we enter onto the field and for gospel movement! The cost of the trip is $19,200 which includes everything sustainable like transportation and living arrangements for the year. Your donations can be made by clicking the link on the side where it says “Donate!”

Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus”
