Hey everybody,

My name is Bailey Spenlau,

I am 22 years old. Originally from Tarpon Springs, FL and will graduate this spring from Florida Gulf Coast University with a degree in Social Work.

First, I’ll have you know I am not a writer and would have never thought I of all people would be writing a blog (if you know me… you know I can’t spell for the life of me haha) BUT this is just one of MANY things about the World Race I’m trusting God in!

I’m excited to be challenged in my writing and to use this blog to share my heart with you all. I’ll be providing frequent updates, so I would love if you would SUBSCRIBE and follow my WR journey! I might be physically, mentally, and spiritually going on this race but my hope for you readers is that you will be encouraged and challenged by the mighty ways God is working in and through my life, my squads’ life, and the individuals that we will cross paths with over the course of the year in all 11 countries.

About me:

My family is a family of five, consisting of my Daddio (Todd), Momma (Maureen) who has provided me with nothing but a life of love and support, I am the oldest of three daughters. My middle sister Riley is pursuing her degree in Exercise Science at UCF, and we share a spontaneous love for adventure. My youngest sister Hayden is in 7th grade. Fun fact: we’re 10 years apart and somehow she’s taller than me 😛

I am a born and raised Florida girl; who loves the ocean, people, adventure, children, exercise, and coffee. It’s so remarkable to me that God saw fit for the World Race to be a part of my story, and that he’s picked this squad to be my people to explore and do missions work in 11 different countries. I cannot wait to love, serve, and grow alongside these individuals all for the work of the Kingdom!

Man oh man, I am stoked 😀
