Dear Supporters,
I think it is important for me to remind myself and my supporters about one extremely significant aspect of the World Race.
I simply ask one favor of you… please, do not invest in me.
Don’t invest your prayers or finical support in my broken, messy, selfish, doubtful, insecure and human self. If you invested in me in the world, by myself, I would completely fail you and your expectations. Without a focus completely on God and what he is doing in the world, the World Race is pointless. This is NOT about me and if it was, your support would be pointless as well.
The World Race is solely about our Lord.
Investing in God, his work through me, and his teachings… now that is something worth investing in! Our God does not fail… he does not make mistakes like I do… and his love for his people is unconditional because he IS love! I will stumble in my selfish desires because I am human, but if my works are from Christ, I can do great things!
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. – Isaiah 40:29
So, I ask you… if you are my current supporter, or thinking about supporting my World Race Mission trip to 11 countries… please invest whole heartily in the Kingdom of God, and not my humanly flesh and mind.
In order to serve in 11 countries for 11 months, I will need to raise almost $17,000 (see where that money goes here). I have complete faith that God will provide that exact about of money because I know with all of my soul that God has called me to GO. Your support will allow the creator of the earth to use me as His disciple and be His hands and feet.
Please remember that you are investing in the remarkable plans that God has for my squad mates and me… and not in our earthly bodies and minds.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why for Christ’s sake, I delight in my weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, I am strong, – 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Peace be with you,
-B
