As written in the book of Isaiah, “Here am I. Send me!” these words have become my heart’s cry. It has been only a small dream softly spoken to a select few over the past year, but God has planted a huge vision in my heart that He wants to take and show the world. He has enabled me to fulfill this calling through this organization called Adventures in Missions.
I first heard of Adventures in Missions and the World Race last January through a very dear friend who is departing to go on the World Race in January 2015 on a different route. As she described what she knew of the World Race to me, my initial thought was that it sounds like an incredible opportunity, but that’s not for me. AKA I am not qualified to do something as huge as that. As the months of February, March, and April came and left; by the time May rolled around the Lord had broken down walls of insecurity and doubt to give me enough courage to send in my application.
He does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
Through the intensive application process alone I have seen His goodness and felt His peace about this trip. It wasn’t a booming audible voice calling from heaven, but rather a burning desire in my heart and soul to seek Him and experience His love in amazing ways through this journey.
God is faithful.
I have been accepted to go on route four on a journey that travels to 11 countries in 11 months. With one month to spend in each country, my squad will travel to:
- Peru
- Bolivia
- Chile
- India
- Nepal
- Vietnam
- Cambodia
- Thailand
- Malaysia
- Malawi
- Zambia
While on the race my team and I will serve through partnership with churches in local communities, work in orphanages, minister to women and children affected by human trafficking, and ultimately bring our Father’s restorative hope to each tribe and nation that we travel to!
God is our Provider.
In order for me to experience everything God has planned for this coming year, I need all of you. I need the body of Christ to lift me up in prayer and to fund me on this trip. I ask that you prayerfully consider giving towards my trip. You can click on the link to the left of the page that says, “Support Me!”. Also, I will be sending out support letters very soon. If you would like to receive one you can email me your address at [email protected] or send it to me via text (918)284-8326. I also want to encourage all of you to share my story with people you know that might also support me on this trip.
I cannot thank you enough for finding your way onto my blog and reading about this exciting new chapter that the Lord has set before me. Above all else, I pray that as you may follow me on this journey that my words are only uplifting and full of truth to what God has in store for growing His kingdom here on earth.
Sincerely,
Bailey
