This is a blog that I wrote last Monday! More blogs will be coming soon!

Bienvindios!

I have been in Ecuador for five days, and the people have stolen my heart. I love the atmosphere and the love that they have for the Lord. In saying this though, we’ve only had one day of ministry and have met a small number of people. Last Thursday was supposed to be our first day of ministry but our ministry fell through and we sat around worshiping the Lord as a team and discussing life. That afternoon we got to help our ministry hosts, Fabi and Mabe, with chores around the house and were able to help paint a wall they had been wanting to finish for so long. The next day we were supposed to be heading out to our ministry at La Luz Carapunga, but again things fell through and we made our way to a ministry called Covi where we teamed up with another team and helped work at an after school program. While we were interacting with the kids at Covi it was hard considering the language barrier yet the kids had so much grace and were so loving towards us. Saturday we went into the city and did some exploring, and finally were able to contact family and friends. Sunday we were able to go to church at La Luz and we got to meet with the pastor about ministry in the future. When we arrived at La Luz we were greeted with so many hugs and kisses and were treated like we were a part of the church family. As the month continues we will be working at La Luz teaching English and helping on Sundays with church services. I am so excited to see how the Lord is going to use our team in the lives of the people of Ecuador. Please be praying for our ministry and our ministry host, Efren, as we get ready to begin our ministry. Thank you to all of my supporters, please feel free to email me, Facebook message me or text me if you have an IPhone if you have any questions or just want to hear more about what is going on here!

Adios!
