Hey everyone!
Just wanted to do a little shout out to all those who have already made such an impact on this upcoming World Race. I am so blessed to have so many supportive and loving friends and family in my life.
Praise the Lord, we have met the first financial deadline (May 5th – $3,500)! WOO HOO!! Thank you to all those who contributed to helping make this mission a reality!
The next financial deadline is coming up on June 17th ($7,500). In order to try and meet this goal, there are a couple of opportunities to get involved coming up.
The first opportunity is this coming Sunday, May 11th! I am trying to encourage everyone, especially my social media family to donate $11 for the 11th! You can donate through this blog by hitting the “Support Me” button! Imagine: if everyone on my Facebook friends list donated just $11, we would raise $14,102! That would be MORE than enough to fund my entire trip!
Secondly, I am going to be hosting a garage sale the first weekend of June (Friday the 6th and Saturday the 7th). I am going to need A TON of help for this one.
If any of you have ever had a garage sale before, you know how much work it is. Ways you can help by getting involved include:
- Donate any stuff you want to get rid of! It doesn’t matter how big or how small, I will take it! I am hoping this will be a big, successful event. I will even pick it up from you so you don’t have to venture out here!
- Donate any kind of baked goods, popsicles, lemonade, or the likes. I’d like to have some little tasty treats to sell at the check out as well. 🙂
- Volunteer to help work either a sorting day (probably the Monday before, which is June 2nd), a set up day (Thursday, June 5th) or one of the two gargle sale days (Friday and Saturday, June 6th and 7th).
- Pray for this event! Like I mentioned, a gargle sale is no easy task. Myself and all those working toward this even will definitely need your prayers! Please also pray that this even will be financially successful and help me to reach the next deadline of $7,500 so I can fly out in July! EEP!
