It feels like this trip went from a dream to a reality so quickly! I have begun writing and sending out letters of support for finances as well as emotional and most importantly spiritual support for this adventure.
Thus far I have began to type up my packing list and create check-lists of what I have and what I still need. Just imaging fitting everything into a backpack is mind boggling because I am an expert in overpacking! To be honest, I am excited to see how this will stretch me and make me be intentional with what I have.
I have also began to get connected with my team members on our group messaging app, and wow has it been cool! I found out one of my team members is from MN and lives less than an hour away! I have gotten to message and connect with others as we share our excitements, nervousness and hopes for all that is to come.
It is this point in time I am looking forward to what is to come, while also trying to be fully present and invested into the now. I hate goodbyes and I know this will be the hardest and most bittersweet one I’ll ever experience. However, I am again being reminded by God how beyond blessed I am to have such a deep and strong support of people around me and beside me. I am so excited to share this journey with all of you!
I need and appreciate prayers as I begin to fundraise and prepare in the many ways necessary in the months to come.
I need spiritual/prayer, emotional and mental support just as much, if not more than financial support. That being said, this trip is way over my head and God sized in more ways than one. I am confident that this is what God has called me to do I know that I know that I know that He is faithful and will provide in many ways. That being said, I ask this favor: if you are wanting to help me financially on this journey, give in what you feel God is moving you to. Please don’t feel pressured to support me financially, because like I said, I need more than just financial support and whatever support you are able to give I appreciate it beyond thanks.
