Dear Asia,
My first love. I came to east Asia five years ago and knew that we would be back together one day. You always had a special place in my heart that has never gone away. I thought of you often and dreamed of the day I came back. It has come and gone quicker then I could have ever expected, but I loved every moment with you.
You were challenging at times, and in Cambodia I thought you didn’t want me to be here anymore, you gave me food poisoning and I never felt good there.
Then you gave me Thailand, and you showed me what true love was. You showed me what love from your people looked like and what love from the Father truly looked like. You gave me laughter, joy, and hope.
Leaving Thailand was hard, but then you gave me Malaysia. Malaysia was a good time of independently figuring out what my future with the Father looks like, and I think Malaysia was a good time to say goodbye.
You have exceeded every expectation I ever had of our time together. You are the same special Asia I knew before and you will continue to always have that special place in my heart.
Love you lots,
Averi
