Thank you for letting me and my team ride down your dusty roads each night and for the laughter that all the pot holes gave us as we rattle around in the back. I will never forget the looks on your peoples’ faces when they see seven exceptionally white people riding inside a tuk-tuk. Though their stares are often uncomfortable at first, they are always met with a smile and a genuine curiosity to who just entered their village. Thank you for how each home brings out the best drink and food for our team. The hospitality puts the south to shame. Though they do not have much, they give to us in such huge ways. May God richly bless them for blessing us. Thank you for giving up chairs and beds for us to have a place to sit. Thank you for letting us pray over so many of your people. It is a true honor to do those things for you. Though they do not understand any of our prayers, the tears and gratitude say more than words can. I hope that everything we do is done in a manner that reflects Christ because we are so unworthy to even be in your midst for a short time. There is a tangible sense of hope and joy that radiates from the houses and streets. Thank you for being patient with us as we have to translate that words we say to you. Thank you for letting us take a thousand photos of the beautiful faces that light up the atmosphere. We do it so that we will never forget what we have seen. Thank you for sharing the hope of Jesus with US. Thank you for letting us sing our songs off key and for sharing songs with us that sound like what I would imagine heaven sound like. The voices are something I hope never leaves my memory. As we get in our tuk-tuk and say goodbye, we leave rejuvenated and full of life after being among your people. I hope you know that we drive out of your dusty roads and sit quietly among each other soaking in the peace that we have received. Though we are only in your village for a fleeting moment, you have impact us for a lifetime.
