This month it's the little things. Little things like:

The beautiful 9 year old girl who runs after our car when we leave the village.

The conversations that happen in our room until 2am night after night.

The man on the street who starts crying when we talk with him. His son and wife have died and he hasn’t eaten a warm meal in 2 months. The tears that continue while we pray for him are heartbreaking.

The 16 year old girl who wants to go to Police school that I got to teach English to.

Being able to pick fruit off the trees while we walk the streets.

The older men who kiss us on our cheeks and tell us they love us.

The hot water that we get to shower with.

The freedom and vulnerability that our squad is already starting to walk in.

The abundantly joyful translator who at 25 has committed to serve at the church and love and disciple young girls who come from tough situations.

Watching the sunset over the city amongst fields of sunflowers.

The life-giving words that our squad mentor, leaders, and coaches pour into us daily.

Life in Romania is good. It's simple.

Living among 55 people for the month means never ending card playing, family dinners, and the sound of laughter always echoing through the walls.

Life like this doesn’t happen often. I am truly learning the art of enjoying the moments that are seemingly small but have such an impression on my life while we are here in Romania.

Prayer request: Please be praying for the church that we are working with. Though I am living with my whole squad this month, my team (Chayah) has had the opportunity to work closely with a church in a neighboring village. They are the only Christian church in the area and need prayers for hope, endurance and peace as they continue serving the people there. There is a lot of witchcraft there as well.

Anddd…If you haven't already heard…we have had our first route change! So instead of Ukraine next month, we are going to MOLDOVA! I have been overflowing with excitement about this change. If you know much about my story, then you know how close Moldova is to my heart. I was honored to spend 2 weeks there last summer and fell in love with the country. I am so excited to see what God has in store for us!
