I have multiple things to update you all on.

First update is:

ROUTE CHANGE!!
December: Swaziland
January: South Africa
February: Thailand
March: Cambodia
April: Malaysia
May: China

AIM is no longer sending any squads to Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda for the time being due to safety issues.

I am really excited about the change. Ever since I heard about the Race I have had a longing to go to Swaziland for some unknown reason. I am excited to see what God has in store there!

Second update is that during our debrief at the beginning of November, I was asked to be a Team Leader! I was very humbled and honored to have been asked and am so excited for this next season of the Race. I know it will grow and stretch me in new ways! My team changed a little bit as well. Our old team leader was raised up as a squad leader and one of the sweetest girls on our squad [in my opinion atleast], Kara Kitterman, was added to our team! She has already been brought such a great aspect to our team and I am so thankful for her wisdom and calm spirit she carries. We are now team Aliza, which in Hebrew means full of joy!

So this month in Nepal is a short month due to debrief and our flight to Africa [have I mentioned how excited I am to go to Africa? God is giving me the best birthday and Christmas present I could ever ask for!]. Our team is living with a family this month and helping behind the scenes with their ministry. They run an anti-trafficking program so we are helping with the website, writing youth group curriculum to put online, and helping create a mission trip for the youth here!

We live in a room on the roof of their house with an amazing view! You can see the snow capped Himalayas in the distance. It's seriously beautiful here. We've also been sleeping with a mouse in our room…we've been on the hunt for how he gets in and I think we have finally found out a way to keep him out! Praises.

It's hard to believe it's already November, that Christmas is around the corner, and ill be home in 6 months!
