God is the coolest. I mean he does these amazing things that bless me out of my pants. I dont always see them, all I have to do is take a step back and look at my life. He has done wonderful things for me and I feel as though I am only getting started.
The other day I was reading through an old journal when I came across an entry where I listed all of the desires I had. Short term and long term. Guess what one of them was? To travel the world. I was floored. Who knew that this is where I would be, I know I never could’ve dreamed this up.
A few years ago at my church, North Point Community Church, Andy Stanley spoke about “Being Bold.” Ever since then my mom always tells me to be bold, to do everything that I do with bravery and determination. It frustrates me when I see people who have dreams and desires, but never believe that they can do grand things. Granted we cannot do it, but God can! I could kick myself because I know that I have done that too and will continue to even when I do not realize it. God is so big though, he can do more through us than we could ever imagine. He WANTS to do more in our life. If we could just be attentive to his spirit and stop putting him in a box it would be alot easier to see him. God gives us desires and dreams for a reason. He places those in our life to use them and to leverage us. He wants us to succeed and to do great things. Not only that but when he has a call for us he will always give us what we need. We alone are never enough, but when we let him work through us HE is enough. When we are bold in our faith and eager to do his will, then amazing things happen thanks to our amazing God.
“Now may the God of peace….. equip you with everything good for doing his will, and he may work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:20-21
