Hey, friends! It’s been about 2 weeks since I wrote my last blog. Today was our last scheduled ministry day in South Africa which is crazy! Sometimes, it feels like I just got here, but other times, it feels like I’ve been away for years. My mind is blown that month 1 is officially over!
To recap the last 2 weeks, my team has done community outreach, kids’ programs, classes, etc. It has been an amazing experience for us! Impact Africa has been a great host for us & I will definitely miss it here and the friends I have made over the last 4 weeks.
Some things the Lord has been teaching/revealing to me:
(So many cools things, but the themes are as follows.)
– Model my life like Paul (while still modeling Jesus)
– How to live a life fully surrendered
– That I am a vessel for miracles to come through (Acts 19:11)
Today, our last ministry day, was definitely my favorite community outreach day. Why? About 2ish weeks ago, I had a dream about a gogo (grandmother) wearing a dark gray headwrap, sitting outside, but shaded by a roof. I wasn’t sure what she was doing, or why I was dreaming about her…my team and I have been on the lookout for this gogo. We have searched every day at ministry, but had no luck finding her. With today being our last day, I pray once again for the Lord to lead me to this gogo. AND HE DID!
At our first stop of the morning, I found my gogo! She owns/works at a restaurant and was wearing her dark gray head wrap, under the roof, cutting vegetables. My team asked if we could help, so she brought us all knives & other veggies to cut up. She was a believer, so we were all able to encourage and pray with her. She asked me to cook (which is funny if you know me because I don’t cook lol), so she showed me & together we made spinach, potatoes, and steak. Then, she asked us to stay and have lunch with her. It was cool to see how the Lord directed me to her!
I apologize that this blog is scattered, but enjoy reading 🙂 If you have any questions for me, feel free to reach out. I leave for a day 10 debrief tomorrow & get to see all of X-Squad & hear about all the different ministries they were a part of this month. Then, after debrief, I will move on to Zimbabwe!

Enjoy a couple pictures from the last few days!
My Gogo, “E” 🙂
We had the opportunity to visit a mosque. For the past few weeks, we have had training on World Religions and how to be a better witness to our brothers and sisters who worship differently than us. The mosque was absolutely beautiful!
One of the translators/past students at Impact Africa had a baby, so today we were able to visit and meet baby “Q”. 8 days old & super cute!
