This is one of my favorite quotes form The Fellowship of the Ring and it has spoken not only to me but many other 20 somethings over the years. things in this life that look so beautiful and can bring pleasure to us, can also be the thing that leads us away from our true calling. When Satan tries to distract us from the mission that God has called for us to do; its easy to hang it up and to stop what we are doing because we feel like we can’t go on.
I know this because Its happening right now. It would be so easy for me to just give up and walk away from the race. just say Sorry guys, I can’t afford it. Its true, I can’t afford this trip. But God can. I can’t afford the flight to traing camp…but God can. I can’t afford all the things I need… my gear, passport, a new camera for my documentary. But GOD CAN!! God can provide for us in so many ways that we can’t imagine.
Now Im glad that God Protected me from what could have happened with my car if i wasn’t carful. but at the same time I can’t even to begin to understand the plan. But at this point….Im just gonna go with it.
I know that my heart from serving the victims of human trafficking and HIV sufferers is far stronger then anything that satan can put in my way. My God is Greater, My God is Stronger.
