I want to begin this blog by just saying thank you to the people that have donated and to tell them that I greatly appreciate their donation! When I first started to see peoples donations I was so excited and it made me realize that God is with me! It’s so humbling to see that it’s not me but God that is going to provide for this trip and as long as I keep him first in my life he is going to provide for me.
Something that happened to me just the other day was so amazing and very cool. It’s so amazing to see that people still to this day want to help and support Christians when they can. When I was sitting with my Discipleship group at McDonalds we were talking about Paul and how he was writing a letter to Philemon. In this letter, he was writing about how this man who ran away but maybe he ran away so he could come back as a brother and not a slave. While we were talking about this situation this lady came up to us and asked us a question “how old is everyone” and we told her our ages. She then began to say, “it’s so nice to see younger people pursuing the lord and that I want to buy y’all desert” so she began to give us a $20. Now $20 is a lot to me since I am a broke college student and I was so surprised that she gave us that much money. Also, we didn’t know this lady at all or even know where she came from. Yes, it was just buying us desert but it was such an amazing act because we didn’t do anything to deserve what she did for us. It was without a doubt God that moved that woman’s heart to pay for our desert.
Therefore, we all need to remember the little things still make an impact and that it’s not always about big actions that will change people’s moods/days. So, don’t think just because I can only donate $5 it’s not going to make an impact because I promise you it will. Hope everyone has a great day and that they remember to enjoy the little things in life.
