Today’s topic is about rejection and the fear of being rejected. I will get to the raining blood thing in a second. Going into the streets of Trujillo, Peru was tarrifying for me and my team mates and trust me we could have used plenty of excuses but we didn’t say no I am scared, I don’t know the language, or God is never going to use me. We didn’t say any of that but we said YES God please use me I don’t care if I speak any spanish and all i have to do is pray over a person in english because you are the God that knows all languages and when we pray to you that you know what we are asking for before we ask it. You are the God of Yes and not the God of I can’t use you but I will let you know when I can. Don’t down play the role that you have in the story of Gods kingdom but recognize and be thankful enough that God is using you every day to make a difference in his kingdom.

So many people are afraid of getting rejected but its not a rejection to you but a rejection to God. If someone says no to prayer or you speaking to them about God its not that they are rejecting you but they are rejecting God in that moment. If this does happen you can continue to pray for them in your mind while you are walking away, their no is might be where you stop but it is also where God begins. Planting seeds and getting people to think about who Jesus is and what he did for them is just as important as you going over there and getting them to come to church. Sometimes you have the lay the seeds now so someone else in Gods kingdom can come through and reap the harvest. This was one of the hardest things for me to realize the first time because going out into the mission field you want everyone to change in the moment that you are speaking to them but sometimes it takes time for that seed to be planted for it to be ready to harvest and bring him or her to God.

Stay strong in the faith of God and learn to listen to the Holy Spirit for you will not regret it and you might not see immediate transformation but it doesn’t mean its not happening. Luke 10: 2 “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few” so become a worker for the kingdom of God and become someone that says yes to God instead of having the fear of rejection.

Oh and the blood thing was I was walking back to the church and a bird flew over me and a drop of blood hit me in the arm.
