Hello my brothers and sisters!
2020 is here and January is almost over already, can you believe it? Gods word says this, “and let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:9-10
Sometimes you need to step back from what’s going on and invite God into Your circumstance, ask Him to bring perspective, and allow Him to show you the areas you need Him in most. Every single day we are blessed to walk with Him in this world and we should be renewed every moment. Your inward man should be renewed day by day to look more like Christ. Throughout this trip God has walked me through a lot of character changes and growth in areas that I’ve never had to walk through before. The scripture from Galatians speaks so much to what this trip has taught me.
As we know there are a lot of months that are open, which means we do not have a host. Our days are led by the Spirit and consist of prayer walks, interceding for the town we are in and the people to be encountered by the One and true God, Jesus Christ! God has asked me, “Are you walking with Me to see fruit, or are you okay with just being obedient to what I want you to do?” If my answer is obedience and my obedience stems from my love for Jesus then my weariness will be temporary and I will not lose heart because I know there will be fruit. My responsibility is to sow the seed, but the harvest belongs to God. That being said, Vs. 10 is where God has shown me so much. Unity is also what He has continued to put on my heart about the church as a whole. God has taught me that my first test of my love for Him is my love for my brothers and sisters in Christ, “the household of faith”. If I don’t show love to the body of Christ, then I truly do not love God in my heart.
Download the Joshua Project to receive daily updates for the UPG(Unreached People Group) of the day and continue to cover them in prayer. You truly do not know when your last day will be and my prayer for us as a body, is that while we have opportunity we walk in obedience and unity to bring the culture of heaven to earth in all that we say and do.
