Every time I think of someone that blogs—especially within the church—I think of someone who thinks they’re special. I think of a self-righteous individual who thinks that they have a special message that people need to listen to. And I think of someone who really believes that other people care what they have to say. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely believe that God speaks to people through people, but the messages that I’ve encountered through personal blogs have lacked Biblical foundation and truth. Instead, these blogs are personal opinions disguised as gospel presentations. I was disappointed (to say the least) when I learned that I would have to regularly post blogs throughout the next year.
In this post, I just want to briefly lay out my purpose for writing blogs, other than being “strongly encouraged” to do so. My primary purpose for posting these blogs is to glorify God. I want to show readers how God is moving through myself and my team. I want to boast in the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, sharing with you opportunities that I’ve had to share it. I also want to post here as a way of showing my appreciation to everyone that’s supporting me through prayer and financial contributions. I want you to see where your money is going and how God is working through your generosity and selflessness.
I fully intend for every blog that I write through this platform to be exclusively Spirit-led and Christ-centered.
If you’re wondering how you can help me reach people in Thailand, India, and Guatemala, please consider doing the following:
Pray: Pray for me now as I prepare for this adventure. Pray that God equips me with the understanding to preach truth to unreached peoples. Pray that God gives me boldness and a desire to reach the lost, so that I shine as a light in my school and my community, making known to others the victory that Jesus has and the love He has shown to us. Pray that God gives me a memory for His Word and for every blessing that He’s given to me so that I can be a genuine worshipper and witness of Him. And lastly, please pray that God helps me raise the necessary amount of money to fund this trip.
Donate: If you feel led to assist me financially, go on ahead and hit that orange “DONATE” button. There is no amount too small (or too large), and 100% of the money you put in is going to reaching the lost. I truly believe that there is no greater place to invest your money than in the gospel.
