A Series of Divine Appointments.
In 2012, a series of divine appointments led two unlikely people to the largest global missions conference in the world, where they both encountered life-changing truth, conviction, healing, and a renewed calling upon their lives.
At that conference, a series of divine appointments led these two people to meet amongst 25,000 others. An encounter the Lord had prepared before either had breathed their first breath.
A series of divine appointments then led them down a journey of learning to love one another from 1,200 miles apart.
Then, through time, trial, travel, and a lot of grace and love, these two eventually become one on the beautiful day of July 20th, 2015.
Since then, a series of divine encounters have led and sustained them through many joys, hardships, transitions, adventures, days of grief, and yet, an everlasting peace because they know Who is behind it all.
And now, this journey has led them to a season of abandonment. To self. To their plans. To their things. To their comfort. To what seems normal. Logical.
These divine appointments have led them to commit to at least a year of missions work that will take them to Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa. To use their skills to educate, heal, pray, disciple, feed, build, renew, and above all, love as He first loved us. To serve the poorest the richest of News, to reach many who have never heard about a Love so deep.
You see, we believe that a life surrendered to the One who Authors all is just that. A series of divine appointments. Orchestrated by Him. Leading and guiding. Sustaining and providing. Even when it doesn’t make sense. Even when its hard. The journey is not perfect. We are very flawed. Broken. Messy. Yet, we are His to use. His hands to touch through. His feet to carry wherever He calls.
In this season you are invited on a journey with us, beginning summer 2019, where we will partner with local churches, schools, health clinics, ministries to widows and orphans, refugees, the underground church and grassroots projects; rebuilding communities, discipling new churches and believers, encouraging those facing persecution, meeting present needs, and living life incarnationally alongside them.
This commitment and journey began 6 years ago when we both said yes to the Lord, separately, to go wherever He called us to. First, we were called together. Then, for a time that was to Washington, a season to Texas. Now, for at least a year we will call many places home, with everything we own on our backs, whether that be sleeping in a house, a hut or a tent.
This coming year will be raw, messy, un-glamorous, and hard. We recognize that saying yes to this will change the trajectory of our life as we know it. But we could not be more at peace about it. Will you join us? We covet your prayers as we already have seen and felt the enemy attack us both, physically, emotionally, and spiritually since finalizing our commitment a handful of weeks ago. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against one who schemes to steal, kill, and destroy what is of the Lord. We are so thankful for you. Your love and support as we begin our months of preparation mean so much.
