So This blog is just a glimpse of how truly awesome and amazing our God is. So there have been just so many things that have come together over the past 6 months that have really confirmed in me that the World Race is what I am being called to do by God. The most recent is just how God puts things together that make you say, wow, God, You are Amazing!. So as you all know I have I made the decision to go on the World Race about 3 or so months ago. Well I had a friend, Dylan(left) that I attended High school with that I had not seen for 4+ years. I had sent him a message on Facebook maybe 9 months ago just checking in to see how his life is going. I Knew he was a Christian from High school, and he really lived his life for Christ. He was at that time, over in Austria doing God’s work over there. He had been there for almost 2 years doing God’s work with his Wife ministering to youth as well as other things. Well he just gave me a little update on his life and said that he would be coming back to America soon because his Visa was expiring. So I said he should get a hold of me when he got back so we could get together and catch up, as I thought it was awesome what he and his wife were doing, and since he was traveling and doing God’s work abroad, I wanted to hear what his experiences were like, and share with him what I was planning on doing(ie. the World Race). So when Dylan got back we met up at Dunkin Donuts and started chatting, and I began him about my calling to missions, in particular a long term missions trip. When I started explaining what I was planning on doing (I hadn’t mentioned the actual name “The World Race” yet) Dylan stopped me and was like, “What is the name of the missions trip you want to go on?” I told him it was called The World Race. He flipped a little. I had told him about my calling to missions a little bit on Facebook, and he was actually going to tell me about this missions trip called the World Rrace that I should check out!
So there God is showing me another sign and confirmation that this is what I am supposed to do, But it gets better! Dylan went on to tell me that one of the Original Pioneers of The World Race, Andrew Shearman(He’s amazing, check him out HERE), was coming to his home church(about an hour from my house) for a youth conference! That just blew me aw
ay! I was like, No Way! I have to go to this and meet this guy. I had read about him online. He helped start The World Race with Seth Barnes, and then also pioneered a visionary school G42 Leadership Academy which gives ppl a direction/Goal/Vision for their life. To go out into the Nations and unleash the will of God. I knew that A lot of World Racers go to G42 at some point after the race. So I knew I had to meet him. So this past weekend I went to the conference and I got a chance to meet him. He is Amazing! He is a REAL man of God. He’s so down to earth, and preaches it how it is. So I got to hear him preach Sunday, and then he invited me to meet some of the Interns(ppl who have gone to G42 before) from G42 that came to the service to see Andrew again. After the service I got to hang out with these amazing ppl who(most of them) went on the World Race and then went to G42. So these people have done everything that I will/ want to do! I hung out with them for a while and chatted about the World Race and G42 until Andrew had to leave to head back home, back to Europe. Then I went out to grab some lunch with everyone else. We had such a blast! Those people are sooo amazing! They are what I want to be! It’s weird because I know I’m going to be “One of them” in the upcoming years. I loved spending time with them and hearing their stories and getting to know them. Before we left and went our separate ways they all prayed over me, which was amazing and truly inspiring. They are great people, and I wish I could surround myself with people like them every day. So long story short(kinda…lol) God is amazing and likes to show off that he is God and everything will go according to His plan. I really shouldn’t be amazed when things like this happen, because God is so powerful and is in control of all, but I can’t help but be encouraged when He makes things like this happen. After meeting Andrew and hearing him preach, and seeing what a “Man of God” he is, and meeting the people from the World Race and G42 I can’t help but be on Fire for God! I want to follow him with everything that I am. I was to give my life, my all, to him! I want him to be the driver in my life. I want to be the Man of God that I know I can be with Him at the wheel!“Psalm 46:10 – “Be still and know that I am God”
