I’m Leaving!!!

    In less than an hour I will be leaving the hotel near the atlanta airport where I have been staying with the rest of my squad. We have had training and preperation over tha past week for what we are about to step into. Training for me as a leader, and training for those who are stepping out into missions for first time!
    I am so excited to lead my squad of 38 people(plus my 2 coleaders) into haiti for our first month. We will have 4 teams in one location and 2 in another. One working with a minstry called Tothether We Can, and another called Mission of Hope! We will be doing  various ministry(childrens ministry, evangelism, different outreach etc).
I am really excited for this next season in my life. Things I am looking to grow in are:
 – Dealing with Conflict and getting more comfortable with it. – Growing in intimacy with the Lord. I really want to be a person who hears the voice of the Lord and responds. Just like Jesus said that he only did what the father told him to do. – Stepping out in faith and being an example for my squad. Stepping out and asking God for BIG things. God sized things. Not Austin sized ones that I know I can accomplish under my own power.
Thank you all so much for your continued support and prayer. I will try and update at least once a month. Hopefully more, depending on internet and my free time. Trust me when I say that spiritually and physically leading 38 others on a trip like this is exhausting(and I haven’t even left yet!!). I know I will need a relinace on the Lord like I never have before in my life, but I am so excited for the necessity to rely on Him for everything that I do.

Prayer Requests:
– Safety in our travels to and around Haiti – Discernment and Wisdom for me and my co-leaders – An outpouring of Christ Love for my squad so I am leading them out of His love – Health for the squad(Against Malaria and for safety in our food comsumption,against parasites and disease and such from dirty water/food
