So we just finished up our ministry in China the past couple days. China was definately interesting. My team was split this month into 2 mini teams. My mini team worked on getting an apartment for our american contact ready for them to use as a schoolhouse, room for a Nanny and office for their ministry. So my ministry this month consisted of making benches, desks, and shelves for the schoolroom, laying flooring for the entire apartment, painting hte rooms and doing general cleanup/fixing of the shoddy construction job the chinese did on the apartment. It was not a great relational ministry month, but we were able to help out our contact greatly by what we were able to finish for them, since their time is already spread pretty thin with all their ministry placements. Here are some pics of the apartment and some of my favorite pics of the month. Enjoy 🙂

A couple getting wedding photos on the Great Wall. And yes she hiked up there in her dress!
My Teammate, Sarah, also wrote several blogs on China that explain what we did and what China was like for us. Check them out if you want more insight into the chinese culture and what our month was like!
And my favorite part of China is….Split butt pants! These things are SO Cute! Aparently children between 6 months and 2 years wear these Split Butt pants that our team nicknamed ‘Baby Chaps!’ It is considered more sanitary than diapers here. The kids pretty much just squat where they are to do number 1 if they are outside and hopefully get to a squatty potty before going number 2(although some of my teammates did see accidents ocurr where the child did not get to the bathroom in time for #2). It seriously mae my day whenever I saw a kid wearing baby chaps climbing the stairs or their parents holding them with their little tush’s sticking out!
