Hey Everyone. So here is a little about me. I Live in Central Pennsylvania in a little town called Port Trevorton. I attended Susquehanna University and graduated with a degree in Business with an emphasis in Information Systems in 2009. Business is not really what I’m interested in, but I’m making use of it.  I had originally thought about going on the World Race after I graduated from college, but because I was already in debt from college and it was expensive I dismissed the idea and applied for Americore instead. Long story short I never ended up doing Americore. I just wanted to get a job and start paying back my student loans. This brings me to today. A few months ago I had some events that happened that made me rethink where my life was going. While i really enjoy my job and the people I work with i could not see myself working at my company for the next ‘X’ number of years. I knew that that is not where God wanted me, and I knew that I wanted more out of my life. So I searched and prayed for the answers to the direction my life should take, and God put before me the World Race again. Since then I have read hundreds of blogs and been in prayer for countless hours and I KNOW that this is what God wants me to do. It has been confirmed in soooo many way, through scripture, through others and their encouragement, and through my parents. I have read blogs on people who are struggling with their parents opinion toward their decision to drop everything for a year, travel the world and spread the word of God to anyone and everyone they encounter. And I can tell you  I had the same problems. While I had many people who were very supportive of my decision, the people who i NEEDED to understand that this is what God is calling me to do were a bit reluctant, and at times could not accept my decision. I know how this feels, it’s a crushing realization that the ppl who you love unconditionally and who love you back in the same manner, do not see what  you see, and feel what you feel about this trip. So all I could do is pray. Pray to God that the decision I am making is the correct one and pray that God work in my parents hearts to help them understand my decision and be supportive. God once again came through and instilled in me a passion for the world race, and changed my parent’s hearts to understand where I am coming from, and to be supportive. This, if not anything else has confirmed in me that me going on the World Race is what God wants for me!

This brings me to the present day. I have decided to go on the January 2012 World Race. That gives me a little more than a year to fund-raise the money necessary, and to complete some things back here at home that need done. I know that the money will come in, because I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that this is what God wants me to do…… besides what is a little money to God?….to the Great and Mighty Creator who created the heavens and the Earth, show makes mountains tremble at his voice…..money is nothing, and it is Definately not an obstacle that can stand in the way of God’s plan for my life! I know the funds will come in and I know God will lead me on this journey that I am about to embark on ๐Ÿ™‚
A few Facts about me:
  • I love adventure. I love doing things outdoors, whether that be climbing a mountain, hiking, running, Skydiving, Bungie Jumping, Snowboarding, Scuba Diving, playing sports or whatever…I love it!
  • I have an amazing Christian family. I have an older brother who is married to one of my good friends from highschool. They are amazing ppl. I honestly could not ask for better parents. They have supported me in everything I have  done in my life, and looked out for me wherever they could. They still look out for me today, they worry about my travel, and me being away from home for so long, but they know that this is what God is calling me to do and they are supportive of that.
  • I have a motorcycle and I love riding it everywhere! It gives me a sense of freedom and brings me  a lot of joy!
  • I Traveled to Australia and New Zealand for a little over a month after I graduated College, and it was Amazing!!
  • I love Calamari!
  • I’m def not what you would call Shy, although I used to be super shy when i was younger.
  • I like visiting the City, but that is definitely not where I would choose to live. I’m from the country and I love it.
  • I try to show ppl Christ’s love through my actions more than through words. That being said I usually don’t have much of a problem speaking in front of ppl. I just recently gave a sermon at a local church, and I do a Christian weekend called Chrysalis every year where I give a talk to the youth who attend.
  • I am a part time youth leader at a church near my home.
  • I ran a Half Marathon and loved it!
  • Pretty much everything is better when done with friends ๐Ÿ™‚
