Greetings again! We find ourselves at our local coffee shop eating up the wifi for the week 🙂 ….again very nice to get away from it all, but at the same time we are excited to invite you all in through our blog. Thank you all so much for the encouraging words and comments- you know who you are and please know it is very much appreciated! Also please know me and Faith BEING MARRIED 🙂 are trying to figure it out about how to tackle both perspectives without repeating each other…so we are working on it….ANYWAYS
SO! I believe last time I left off I mentioned Daniella, the barista at the coffee shop we are at, the Lord put her on our heart the first time we were out and we have made it a point to follow up with her as much as we can- so here we are! She gets so exited when we come in and it is awesome to see her face light up! We have told her what we are doing and she said she wants to come with us! We just told her we are all planning on going out to eat this Saturday evening and she said she wants to come!!! So please continue to pray she sees Jesus through us!
So I alittle more insight to where we have been the past few weeks, I know I mentioned the area we have been in is not the “safest” and we respect that coming from our host. As a team I know we have been enjoying playing with the kids, teaching classes, playing sports, but we wanted more intentional time in the community. Personally I found myself feeling a bit limited BUT GOD KNOWS OUR HEART even before we speak. Randomly yesterday our host says “we are going to go out in the community and pray for people” (!!!) PRASIE GOD! I was so excited and told my team it was almost like the feeling before a football game when you practice and practice NOW ITS GAME TIME! The Lord has been taking me through Matthew and I have see the healings of Jesus and learning that HEALING COMES THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS and I was so ready to GO and be the hands and feet of JESUS in another way in the community! The following is the entry from my journal:
“Praying this morning as we are about to go OUT in the community for the first time to find families and those in need! Praise God and glory to God! Asking the Lord to provide hurting, broken, hopeless and those who need healing and to be bold to proclaim Jesus over them! Holy Spirit guide us to those in need and that you have already ordained. Give us insight and favor! Make it clear who we should encounter and not confuse it with our own ambition! Asking as John 16:24 states in Jesus name it will be given- AMEN”
The Lord provides. We encountered those who are broken and are in need of healing. We were able to pray healing over them and TRUST THE SPIRIT TO MOVE even if we don’t PHYSICALLY see anything or “feel” supernatural. The Holy Spirit revealed to me “Trust Me regardless if you SEE or not- that’s what faith is.” An entry after we returned:
“While out I began to pray for my faith to grow- being able to believe even if I don’t see the end results or the miraculous, AS MUCH AS I DESIRE TO! I do desire to see the healing, but not sure how to and kinda feel like I am missing “something”. The Spirit spoke to me and revealed- “Faith and more faith. TRUST ME and rest in TRUSTING ME. Let go of expectation and confine me to your agenda Trust and find peace in knowing I am working.” I want more and more and to see supernatural, please pray for my team in this as well as for myself to continue to take God out of this box I have put Him in. Pray specifically for Yolanda, an older woman we encountered at her home in the local community who was told she has water on her brain. She stated her hands and feet hurt so we prayed healing over her and will follow up with her. Pray also for Michael, a young guy who was involved in one the local gang and was stabbed in the hand and is having trouble moving it. We prayed healing over his hand. This morning our host Alex came to us and said there may be some therapy he will be able to do for free through a nurse friend of his- so honestly really cool to think “whether its SURPERNATUARL MIRACULOUS HEALING (which I absolutely believe and want to see) or physically being healed through therapy being provided- GOD PROVIDES. Pray that my faith grow more and more as I break away from this box I have put God in. We encountered many other individuals asking for prayer for family and jobs and we lifted them up to our Lord.
