Y’all…Albania is beautiful!

I have loved every minute in Albania these past 2 weeks. Having been in Tirana for 4 days for our month 1 debrief and now being in the coastal town of Lezhe, I can now say that Albania will be on my top list of favorite countries.

The one thing that the World Race is good at is getting you out of your comfort zone.

This whole month is what we call “All-squad month.”  It consists of all 7 teams on Y-squad coming together, living with and working with the same ministry host for the month of October.

I never knew just how disgusting pigs really are but I LOVE me some bacon. Being on a pig farm (with other various farm animals) and stepping in knee deep piles of poo has been an experience that I will never forget!

Remember how I said that the WR is good at getting you out of your comfort zone? Yeah, well we were told a few days ago that we were needed in Lesvos, Greece.

It was hard to believe the news that we were leaving a place that we would call home for the whole month of October and leave for a new country.

We found out that we would be leaving Lezhe to go to Lesvos to work with Samaritan’s Purse in receiving refugees that are fleeing Syria and various other countries. We have not heard exactly what we will be doing but we do know that there will be 2 teams working 12 hour shifts helping with the needs of the refugees.

I’ll be honest, I have been very emotional about this crisis every since I heard about it a few months back. I could never of imagined that I would be on the front lines of it all and I definitely need prayers from you as I prepare myself for this unbelievable opportunity to partner with God.

Please pray for my squad as we travel a long distance from Lezhe, Albania to Lesvos, Greece over the next few days. I ask for prayers of comfort as we are put on the front lines and for the Love of God to pour through us onto the children of God searching for a new beginning.

I love you all,

Austin
