Well let me introduce you to one of the coolest people I have EVER met!!! Her name is Romany (pronounced like row many boats). The second I met this woman I knew there was something different about her. Aside from be breathtakingly beautiful with her flawless skin and jet black hair and tattoos. She has the sweetest spirit. She has such a heart to get to know and care for the people around her. She is one of those people that you meet and you automatically know that they are there for you…in your corner…rooting for you in the best possible way. And all of that isn’t even the dopest part about her.
Romany has a mind that works like no one else I have ever met. She thinks in pictures and she understands concepts visually. She also has a passion for Natural Sciences. So when those things are combined she expresses herself in the paintings and sketches about the Earth and about harvesting and about natural processes but that is only the surface. On a much deeper level beyond the sun or the chromatography or whatever else she has painted or drawn is a deeper understanding of God. The fact that God speaks to her through horticulture BLOWS MY MIND.
My mind is blown by the fact that not only does her mind work so differently than mine but also that her mind was perfectly crafted by the Father for the things she is called to do . She helped me see and understand how I have put God in a box. I never thought of someone’s passions as a way to gain deeper understanding of the Father unless there passion was related to something in ministry. But the fact that God has given her ideas on how to build kingdom using the Earth completely shatters that.
I had an opportunity to hang out with Romany and she started explaining a dream that God had given her. She starts drawing these circles and lines and arrows and dashes and just the physical image she created was something that I thought was beautiful. But her explanation of how this particular concept has grown and evolved inside of her was also beautiful. But the most beautiful part was the passion with which she explained it. How her face lit up and how it was so evident that her hearts desire was to build the Kingdom through what God had given her.
Man oh man do I want to be like her. I want to find that thing that makes me light up and that I could talk about for hours. I want to discover and unearth parts of myself that I didn’t even know where there. And most of all I want to come to know God in a whole new way as He shows me more of the beauty He crafted inside of me. Romany inspired me on so many levels. I really hope that when I left Cambodia that was not the last time I will see her.

This is the card that Romany made for our team before we left. It is so quintessentially her and felt like sharing it would provide a small example of how great she is.
