Hey friends! We’ve been in Jaco, living in Ocean‘s Edge for two weeks! It’s been so incredible to already see how God is working in the people of Jaco, my team, and myself! It is hotter than hot here and that was definitely the first adjustment we had to make when stepping off the bus but it’s been such a nice change! I’ve gotten to spend so much time outside (soaking up maybe a little too much sun) enjoying a totally new environment full of God’s beauty! In our base with no AC… the semesters team is staying with another team that’s on their world race! So inside of Ocean’s Edge we have 50 people all here to love Christ and each other. I feel so blessed to get to know not only my team and theirs, but the people helping us minister! The church here is called Horizon and it’s one of the most incredible places I’ve ever experienced! The people really love Christ, the music is amazing, and the building itself is so beautiful. Theres a really close community that’s committed to loving us. My team has been restoring and painting parks as our way of ministering to the people of Jaco! The relationships we’ve been able to build with the kids we’ve met at the park have been so encouraging and more than a couple of them have come to church as a result of our time at the parks! We do our ministry a few days of the week and then we have two off days. When we have off time Ive been surfing, zip-lining, eating at some legit restaurants, and spending time on the beach. Jaco is definitely a place that God is working through and I’m so blessed I get to see it everywhere!
