Hey all!
It’s been about a month since my last post (sorry about that), and man had a lot happened. Let me catch you guys up a bit!
The rest of ministry Guatemala:
About half way through the month I moved from one team to a new team. We wanted each team to have a squad leader for at least a little bit in their first month so we could help them cast a vision for what life on the Work Race looks like. Since there’s 3 teams and just 2 squad leaders, I moved to the third team, Wild Fires, for the second half of our time in Guatemala. I joined them in their ministry in Antigua, which consisted of constructing a soccer field and spending time with the long term AIM staff here.

Debrief:
The entire squad spent a few days in Antigua to debrief their first month and process what it looks like moving into month two. The leadership team and I got the chance to focus solely on mentoring the squad during this time. This looks like days filled with several one-on-ones, team debriefs, and large group teachings.
I specifically remember month one debrief of my race a year ago and how it drastically changed my perspective on my identity, community, and stepping into challenging things. It was amazing to see this group of women walk through similar revelations!

As a leadership team we got the opportunity to hang back in Antigua for a few days. During this time we had our own time of debriefing, bonding, and planning. It was a nice time to regather ourselves before heading to Nicaragua to join the squad again.

Nicaragua:
We have been back with the squad for about 4 days now, and it’s been a blast! We are living and serving at an orphanage on the island of Ometepe. The entire squad is together this month, but I am specifically working with one team, Daughter Zion, this month. We are doing a variety of ministry this month that includes teaching children at the orphanage, helping cook meals, cleaning the grounds, and spending time intensively praying for the orphanage and staff. I’m excited to see what this month holds!

I have an update on my “Buy a Box Raffle!” As month one ended I collected the first items for the raffle: a painting of the famous arch and volcano in Antigua and a bag of coffee beans. Get excited!!
Y’all, I’m nearly 60% funded! That’s so incredible! I still have about $3,000 left to raise, and there’s still plenty of boxes left to claim (all the white boxes are available). If you want to purchase a box for the raffle, comment below or message me which number you would like and then donate here. The higher the number, the more raffle entries you get. I’ll draw from the raffle once I’m fully funded. Find out more info on how it works here. Thank you guys!
