Over the last few years I’ve done a lot of traveling. I’m one of those people who really likes to make a space my own while traveling. I call hostels, host homes, churches, empty rooms ‘home’ like it’s the most natural thing in the world. However there are some places that I have entered during my travels that are ‘homier’ than others. This almost always is due to the people who are sharing that space. Whether it was a group of Zambian boys who welcomed my team into their family or a missionary in Ukraine who cooked us Chick-Fil-A style sandwiches, these houses instantly became home. When I think about the places I have stayed in the past it’s almost always the people who filled those spaces that I remember, not the conditions.
That’s why I am so excited about what the next season of ministry will look like for me. In June I will be leaving for a year to help establish a guesthouse in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I will get to be one of the people filling the space where missionaries and travelers are staying.
The guesthouse will function as a base of operations for future missionaries to work out of while church planting and ministering in the red light district, as well as serving guests from around the world who are visiting Thailand.
I would like to invite you to join me on Sunday April 9th at 2:30 in the afternoon to learn more about what the next season of ministry will look like for me. I will be talking about the journey God has taken me on over the last few years to lead me to this point, and the different ways that you can partner with me on this new adventure. The info session will be in the fellowship hall at Heartland Worship Center (details on how to find the fellowship hall will be listed at the bottom of this letter).
If you are unable to attend but would still like hear the incredible things God is orchestrating in my life, I would love to set up a time to grab coffee or a meal with you. You can reach me at [email protected]. Also you can check out my newest blog at here.
Thank you so much for the support you have shown me in the past. It means the world to me to know that you are behind me and supporting me as the Lord leads me on yet another adventure. I could never do what I do without folks like you.
I am so excited about what God has in store for me next and I can’t wait to tell you more on April 9th!
I hope to see you then!
