So it’s September 3, and you know what that means right?!
Day 2 of classes at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In case you missed the memo James Sirius Potter (That’s The Chosen One’s oldest son) started his magical education just two days ago.
If you haven’t figured it out from the first two sentences I am unashamedly a HUGE fan of Harry Potter.
I love the world that J.K. Rowling created in the 7 book series, and thoroughly enjoyed the 8 cinematic adventures that followed. I have been to a Harry Potter conference, where I listened to Harry Potter themed music. I have even been to Harry Potter World in Orlando, and I have been sorted into Hufflepuff (we are particularly good finders, points if you get that reference) on Pottermore.
Pretty much now that I’m typing this out, if I were to describe this without using the specific words Harry Potter, you may think I was talking about my walk with Jesus.
This morning as yet another Harry Potter themed article came across my Facebook newsfeed, I had an idea for a series of blogs, of which this is the first. To take J.K. Rowling quotes and relate them to my walk with Jesus. So without further ado:
“Until the very end.”
I decided to start with this quote from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows because it is now permanently with me forever. I got this short little line tattooed on my foot while we were in Thailand in February.
In the book this line is Lilly assuring Harry that she will be with him until the end of his life.
For me it is a way to remember that I will choose Jesus until the very end. Even through the ups and downs I will stick with him. I will walk with the Father until the end of my days and he will walk with me too.
On days when choosing God is hard, all I have to do is look down and be reminded that I have already committed to this relationship and it will be worth it in the end.
So my plan is to post a new quote and meaning each day for a week. If you got the Hufflepuff reference above, please comment and tell me
Love you all!
Audrey
