I haven’t been very faithful to blogging lately, but its mostly because I’m not sure what to say. See right now my life doesn’t seem that exciting; I work, go to church, hang out with my family, sometimes throw a friend in there. I’m soaking up as much time with my parents and niece as I can before January 6th, and once the other three nieces get here after Christmas I probably won’t want to do anything but hang out with them.

However so many of you have asked about fund raising lately, you inspired me to actually blog! See what power y’all have over me! So with out further ado, I’m about $4,000 away from being fully funded!

That means that in the last 5 months just over $12,000 has been raised!!

I want you to reread that last line and just soak in how good God is, because none of that is my hard work.

Over the last 5 months I have planned fundraiser after fundraiser to watch them fail miserably. Let me remind you of a few, there was the time we were going to sell water and Gatorade at bikes on Broadway, guess how many we sold, one bottle of water. There was the time that a kid pooped in the pool canceling another fund raising opportunity (click here to read about that failed attempt).

Those are two of my favorite stories, and they don’t even scratch the fund raising ideas we came up with and never got to implement.

Now that you are caught up with how fund raising is going, I’m going to let you in on a secret.

I am super weird.

Do you want to know why? It’s because I absolutely love fund raising. Since my first fund raising stint in college I have loved it. In my opinion nothing shows God’s faithfulness more than when you have to raise funds.

It’s so cool to know God is working in others and through others, and to know that nothing I do will make this process more successful. All I can do is be faithful to share with others what God is doing in my life and about the Race, and trust that He has this.

So there it is a fund raising update for you, however you may be asking; how can I help you Audrey? There are several answers to that:

1. You can pray for me. This next month is going to be hectic and hard. Not only is it Christmas time, so lots of time with family, work, and friends before I leave, I also have to finish preparing. Pray that I would find rest in the Lord. Pray that I would live in the here and now instead of wishing for the Race.

2. You can buy a scarf! I’m selling hand made infinity scarves for $30 they are chunky and warm and pretty darn cute. I can get most colors in the yarn I use, so let me know what colors you’d like and I’ll get it done for you. (They make great Christmas presents!)

3. You can hire me to wrap your Christmas presents. This was another failed event that we tried to plan, but I have all the paper that I could ever wish for, so if you hate wrapping presents I would be glad to do so for donations.

4. You can just give. Online donations can be made by clicking the support me link under my picture (There is a 3-4% charge to use a card). Or you can mail checks made out to Adventures in Missions with “Appealed by Audrey Harned” in the memo line to:

A huge thank you to all of you who are praying for me, and those of you who have supported me financially. It means the world to me that you guys are so willing to support what God is doing in my life.

You can subscribe to my blog to make sure you don’t miss any updates from the field. Either enter your email address under my profile picture or click the blue “follow me” button at the bottom of your screen.

I love you all more than I can express,
