I was writing my family an email today and realized that I was writing about things that other people might want to know too…it’s kind of my life in India, simplified:

Life has been hard in India, but I have really loved it.  It is the DIRTIEST city I have ever been in in life….much of that dirtiness probably led to the many days of sickness that left me in bed and the worm that was living in my stomach, but nontheless….still like it here.

We live on the perfect street.  It is called Sudder Street and apparently is pretty famous or infamous…don’t know which…when we tell people from church where we live they all go “ohhhh……how’s that?!”  We love it though.  Our hostel is dirty like the rest of the country, but it works and it’s right in the middle of everything….we can walk 5 blocks and get to the main road, Park Street, or we can walk a few roads over and get to 3 different markets….it’s super fun.

I have been sick multiple times while we’ve been here, but that’s okay.  I have also been attacked by the devil…that’s how I know we are doing work here.  The other night I was attacked hard in my dreams by a demon and when I woke up I realized that what I was experiencing in my dream was actually happening and the demon was still in the room….I know that probably sounds so crazy to ya’ll because I would think it sounded crazy.  It’s so real though…crazy real.  The good thing is that I know Satan only attacks when he feels threatened and I also know that crazy dreams and scaring me is all he has.  Satan only has words….he can’t truly harm any of us so he tries to attack us through thoughts, words and dreams…..he sucks…..my dream was horrible the other night, but I know after the girls on my team and I prayed (I totally woke them up at 4 am to pray with me) that the demon was gone, because we have power over the demon.  As long as we have Jesus, and we pray in His name, we have authority and power over the dark world. “

That is a little bit of what has been going on these last 3 weeks.  We leave in 2 days and head to Eastern Europe, first stop is Ukraine.  India will be done and we are on the down hill part of the Race.  I am super excited about what God has in store for my team in the following few months and I am praying that we always remember what He has taught us in the past 6months and apply it wherever else He leads us.
