We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip. Here is what I’m expecting…
-to make lots of lifelong friends!
-to experience massive culture shock
-to laugh and cry a lot
-to witness God working in amazing ways
-to spend a lot of time smelling like a rhinocerus 😛
-to learn to depend on God in new ways
-to be broken by what I see
-to be changed and be unable to return to a lukewarm life
Well to be completely honest, I really have no idea what to expect. I have days when thinking about the trip ahead of me fills me with joy and excitement and then I have days where thinking about it fills me with worry that I won’t have what it takes to live that kind of life for so long. But God has never left me alone in my life, no, not for one second! I know He’ll be by my side every step of the way and with every challenge I face because He is faithful. I can’t wait to meet everyone in May! God Bless
