Hey everyone! I just returned from Training Camp late saturday night and have so much I need to tell you. But for now I just wanted to give a quick update about my Squad/Team and let you all know that our route has changed!

Our original route included: South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, India, Nepal, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Ireland, Ukraine, & Romania.

When I signed up for this route I was so excited to be going to these countries and so ready to see how God would be moving in each of them. However, when I signed up I knew the route could change at any moment due to various factors. The ministry contact might not be working out, there could be safety concerns, or the logistics just might not work out. After all, by the time my squad launches there will be 13 squads on the field so it’s a big job to make sure everyone is well taken care of on the field.

At TC last week we found out our route has changed and now looks like this: South Africa, Swaziland, India, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Ireland, Romania, Turkey, & Albania.

I am SO excited for this new route! I’ve always wanted to go to Thailand and to Turkey so this is all so great. But I still have to keep in mind that things could change again…

Would you all please be praying for these new countries and that the Lord would open up some doors for us as we travel to each one?

The next update is about my team. So I’m on a squad of 48 people (B Squad – Best Squad!) and during TC we were split up into our teams. Our Squad will be traveling to all of the same countries at the same time, but our smaller teams will be split up within each  country to go work with different ministry contacts. Basically our teams are made up of the 7ish people we will spend EVERY day with next year, but we will continue to be together as a Squad when we do our big travel days.

My team is absolutely fantastic! It is made up of myself, Anthea Kruik, Diane Kelly, Brittani McAninch, Meredith Morgan, Julie Shirley, & Kira Ypma. Our team name is Global Rootz. We chose this because we are all from different places (OK, Australia, HI, IA, TX, TN, & Canada) and we will be going to many more places around the Globe. We are rooted in love and hope to plant those roots in each country we will be traveling to. (And of course we had to add the ‘Z’ on the end to really show off our team’s personality. We will all definitely have a ton of fun with each other next year!)

The other exciting news about my team is I was chosen by our Squad trainers to be the team leader! I am humbled by this and so excited to see how Lord will work in and through me in this role throughout the year.

Okay, enough of my “quick” update. I will be blogging again later this week about TC and all the awesome stuff I learned!

Have a great week!
