Lookin’ Like a Fool

Team Hind’s Feet spent last week ministering in Varnsdorf, Czeck Republic! “No Comment” was a week long outreach to the young adults of Varnsdorf.  Team Hind’s Feet and Legend partnered together to rock out the city.  Daily ministry was being done in schools, parks, church and in the streets.  Events included rap shows and games.  At the end of every day we had great conversations over tea.

One form of outreach that we did specifically was Happenings.  Basically a Happening is doing something to get the publics attention.  I feel that Happenings are a true test of your faith in Christ.  Will you or will you not look like a fool for Jesus?  Team Hind’s Feet’s answer?  Heck Yes!  We put on crazy outfits, showed off some killer dance moves, painted the town in chalk, played follow the leader through the whole city and became statues, all to invite people to the “No Comment” events.  It was a great time and hopefully I’ll be able to get some pictures up!

Amidst all the fun my teammate Kayla and I learned a valuable lesson.  Do not wear costumes that were uniforms from the previous communist nation.  Oops.  Little did we know that we were drawing the wrong kind of attention.  We laughed about how people stared at us, probably because we looked so crazy.  Well, we looked crazy alright!

Through “No Comment” we were able to pour out Christ into a city that didn’t know that Life exists.  Many still live under the fear of man, addiction, poverty and racism.  During this week we saw salvation, physical healing, and people encouraged to live out the Kingdom.  God is not done working in the Czech Republic!  Continue to pray for the nations and the outpouring of Christ’s love.
