Purpose: Working with orphans from babies through teenagers. Preparing the children for school and tutoring when they arrive home from school. Also, taking care of babies – feeding, bathing, changing, and playing.
Additional Opportunities: On the weekends working with students from InterVarsity at the local college, holding small groups, worship, and hanging out with local children. Along with ministering daily at the local prison and visiting with their families in their homes. Also, playing basketball with the local organization building relationships and kickin’ some butt.
Length of Stay: January 31, 2011 through January 28, 2011
Local Currency: Pesos, 44 Pesos to one USD
Weather: Abnormal rainy season and has so far been between 50 to 70 degrees.
Local Transportation: Multi-Cab – 10 pesos; Moterella – 5 pesos
