Mark 10:21 “Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
To many this adventure is seen as a sacrifice; sacrificing a career, my friends, family, a comfortable lifestyle, choice foods, a hot shower! However there are too many positive things that can come from this trip and the number one thing is being able to love others, give back and invest into God’s Kingdom!
John Piper writes, “The world is not impressed when Christians get rich and say thanks to God. They are impressed when God is so satisfying that we give our riches away for Christ’s sake and call it gain.”
As many of you know this trip is unfortunately not free, and I have to fundraise for the full amount. That is where you come in! I often felt like I was never in a position to donate a ton of money to charitable causes like I wish I could and I know “God loves it when the giver delights in the giving” (2 Corinthians 9:7) So I would never ask anyone to give past their means, I just ask that you prayerfully consider donating to my journey through The World Race!
I have an upcoming deadline of $4,000 by early September I would love to exceed that ahead of schedule! I do plan to have lots of other fundraising opportunities for any sponsors interested in making a donation!
